Connections
What are connections?
A connection represent Plus's ability to log into a site to take Snapshots. Each Snapshot belongs to a connection.
Currently, all the Snapshots you take on a site share a single connection. If you want to use two different accounts on the same site (e.g., a personal and work email), let us know.
Where can I see connections?
You can see the status of each connection in the Snapshot viewer. You can also find the connections that need action in the Repair section of the app.
Only the Snapshot owner can see (and repair) its connection.
Repairing Connections
Why do I need to reconnect?
Login sessions on sites expire routinely. When that happens, Plus also gets disconnected.
Log out frequency is determined by the site where you took the Snapshot and can vary. Some services, like banking apps, require you to log in after just a few minutes. These apps do not work well with Plus for that reason.
How can I tell when I need to reconnect?
When we detect that a Snapshot connection needs repair, we will pause automatic refreshes of that Snapshot and send you an email.
You can also see any connections that need action in the Repair section of the app.
How do I repair a connection?
You can reconnect to a site from the Snapshot viewer or the connection page.
When you reconnect, Plus will refresh all the Snapshots on that site that have been paused (and resume automatic refreshes.) You do not need to reconnect each Snapshot individually.
Only the Snapshot owner can repair its connection and see these options. You must have the Plus chrome extension installed to reconnect.
Even if we didn't detect that a Snapshot connection is broken, you can always reconnect from the Repair menu.
